Junkstock Omaha Nebraska!

It's been a long road (literally) here to Omaha, Nebraska!
This adventure would not be possible without my dear friend and business mentor-Amy ,owner of the Pink Attic Cat.

A big thank you to Greg, Amy's husband who drove the truck with a very large trailer and who went shopping to get me more supplies to create a booth I am very happy with.

A huge thanks to my husband who is taking a combination of time off and working from home to take care of our 13 year old son Alex. My daughter Laura is finishing up her 4 week summer session at CSU.

Finally a heartfelt thank you to my friends Gail and Carla who drove Alex to/from Band and soccer practice this week!

I don't think I have ever worked so hard to create a booth that I hope best represents my work and me.
It's been 2 long days working in hot conditions but now that I have 2 large fans plus a personal one by my checkout table - it's much better!

My booth is in the Stables.

Old house Vintage Market - Loveland 2017

Every year after Christmas I always feel creatively burned out. I find myself needing a break. Having had Vintage Whites Markets in January 2015 and 2016 in Loveland, taking a creative break is no longer an option. Creating new items for a market right after a Christmas continues to be a challenge. However, I do.

Although Vintage Whites Market moved venues and is now at the end of March (I will be a vendor) , Old House Vintage Market's first market this year was at Loveland and in mid January.

I have learned all I need is to find the right inspiration and my creative mojo comes back - thank goodness!

This year I wanted to expand by creating vintage inspired items for Valentine's Day. Ideas starting forming and I got back to work!

This is the result:

A tattered vintage quilt

Hand cut hearts

Aurifil 12 wt Red Thread to stitch around each tattered quilt heart

Vintage valentines, Adobe Photoshop Elements program, Iron on Paper

Transfer Vintage Valentine Iron on Paper images to white cotton fabric

Sew fabric vintage valentines to tattered quilt hearts

Add an eyelet and red and white twine

Result = One of a kind Fabric Vintage Valentines

Also created fabric and felt vintage valentine garlands:

This was a fantastic start to the new Market season for 2017!
Bernadette has created a very well attended market in a very short time. I am happy to have been a part of it since the first Old House Vintage Market in Golden - May 2016.
Old House Vintage Market organizer Bernadette and her team did an excellent job in organizing and promoting its market. She truly cares about all her vendors and market customers. Not only was it very successful but also fun. Loved taking photos with other vendors in the photo bus Friday evening. I am grateful to be a vendor at OHVM!
The next photos were taken by OHVM photographer and can be found at
Photos were taken before the market opened.
A rare photo of me at my booth - I'm usually behind the camera:)
After OHVM, sold out all the vintage inspired camper tea towels! I need to create more to restock but most likely will have them ready for the May Paris Street Market in Aspen Grove.
The following photos were taken by me before the market opened.
Almost sold out of these fabric valentines at OHVM. A few days later sold almost of what was left to a customer in Houston, TX. Customer found me on Instagram - IsaCreationsVintage.

A Paris Street Market October 2016

As I sit here waiting to be called (or not called) in the jury pool, decided I could blog. The rest of the week I will either continue the second week of my two week substitute teacher assignment (3rd grade) or spend time as a juror. Either way it will be a very busy week ahead!

Thank you to everyone who came to support me this past Saturday! Another fantastic market day! Great weather and record breaking sales for a non holiday market.

A big thanks to my husband who again, woke up at dawn to help me setup. He and my son Alex came by before Alex's soccer game to bring me lunch and give me a break. They both again returned at the end off the day to help me pack up and load the u-haul van. My husband took care of the entire Halloween house display, among other things - I think he did a great job!

My one of a kind vintage inspired Putz houses (Tim Holtz Sixxiz and Papertrey dies) and new Halloween buntings were extremely well received. Thank you for all your kind words, I so appreciate them:) I also had a small preview of Christmas items available.

My next market is this coming Saturday at the Pink Attic Cat in downtown Littleton. Moonlight Market from 4- 9 pm. See previous post for details. I will have Fall and Halloween items available. Come join us for food, music and a entertaining evening.
