Mix Media Inspired Girl Mantra Pillows

Once again I find it hard to find time to properly blog.

I enjoy the creative part so much more, it's difficult to set aside time to handle all the social media. I think I do a better job with Instagram (especially since I have it linked to Isa Creations Vintage on Facebook).

My first outdoor market of the season was last Saturday-

A Paris Street Market

I'll post photos and details about that later.

Today, my post will be about my new mix media inspired Girl Mantra Pillows.

Although I rarely have time to paint, it remains one of my favorites.
I decided to experiment by painting three girls face and neck on canvas. Then I transformed my canvas artwork into fabric. I created various patters for hair.
I stitched everything together on a pillow. I added crochet flowers from vintage doilies. The back of the pillows is a tattered vintage quilt. Finally I stitched an inspirational Mantra. All the pillows have a zipper closure.
All the pillows are truly one of a kind-
Incorporate my own original artwork
These were rather labor intensive to create- I only hope people can appreciate the time and love that went into each handcrafted pillow.
Deconstructing doilies to get the crochet flowers made for a pretty photo.
Photos of my new mix media inspired pillows:)

Also created a few pillows from vintage Embroidered quits and table runner (house).

Vintage Whites Market

Preparing for Vintage Whites required working many late nights. My theme was Spring and Easter.

I am happy with the new inventory created for Vintage Whites Market held March 31 and April 1, 2017 at the National Western Complex.

My favorite are these Fairie Houses I created using Spellbinders die. All different with vintage millinery flowers and tiny mushrooms. The roof opens up. - battery operated tea-lights can be placed inside.

Created a bunch of bottlebrush carrots.

Vintage inspired tiny Easter Baskets with wool chicks

Wooden eggs decorated with German Silver glass glitter. Pink and Teal German glass glitter.

More vintage inspired Easter...

Vintage Whites Market at the National Western Complex

Have new items planned for my next market.  I'll be working extra hard to have these items ready by the end of March.

Currently busy with tax records for Isa Creations 2016 at night (A task this former CPA/Tax accountant does not enjoy but also can't have anyone else do it since I continue to possess the skills to do it!).

During the day,
been helping and will continue to help my dear friend Amy,
owner of the Pink Attic Cat in downtown Littleton,
with her Sale of the Century which starts tomorrow, March 8th through the 12th).
A second Sale will most likely follow on March 22nd - March 26.

I will let her explain this sale ,
so please visit the this link for the details -
the reason and details for this Sale of the Century.

You can also see details on her Facebook Page, here.

Mark your calendars for my next Market,
at the National Western Complex
March 31st and April 1st
