Published in the Winter Issue of Sew Somerset!

I am beyond grateful and thrilled my work has been published again by Sew Somerset, published by Stampington & Co.

The issue is available December 1, 2016.

I received a copy of this issue a day before Sugar Plum Bazaar. It is only now I have had time to post about it ( I did share the news last week on Instagram).

Super busy last few weeks getting ready for Sugar Plum Bazaar and Horseshoe Market. I did enjoy taking the week of Thankgiving to just be with my family (no new inventory created) and enjoy the holiday.

I am also back at work at my other job- substitute teaching.

I have more new items to get ready for A Paris Street Christmas Market but feel I can work both jobs now.

So happy to share two separate articles of my work has been published in the Winter issue of Sew Somerset. Here it is:)

This past year I have fallen in love with sewing illustration techniques and applying them to various items like tea towels, drink coasters, pillows, pendants, keychains and other items.
Creating a collection of vintage inspired campers continues to be a favorite of mine.
This is the second article. Mini embroidery hoops with vintage embroiderywhere I added a sewing illustration with black thread.

Holiday Open House at the Pink Attic Cat

It's been over a month since my last blog post. I did not get selected as a juror early October so I was able to continue my substitute teacher assignment. The two week assignment turned into a 3 week and 2 day assignment. It was a challenge because unlike other assignments, I was involved in lesson planning and would usually stay after school an hour or more later than usual. This assignment gave me an appreciation of how hard teachers work. My hats off to our teachers!

This assignment created stress for me because it delayed the creation of my new holiday (Christmas) inventory. I have felt bad I have had to turn down other substitute teacher assignments since because I continue to feel behind in creating new inventory for upcoming holiday markets.

The week of the Pink Attic Cat's Holiday Open House, I was at the shop helping my friend Amy get her shop ready. I am one of several "elfs" who help get the store ready for the Open House. I did manage to create new items. A sampling of Isa Creations Christmas is now available at the Pink a Attic Cat.

The open House was this past Friday and Saturday- November 4th and 5th.

I love being a part of this event. The Pink Attic Cat is the place for the largest selection of Truly Vintage Christmas. The collection is lovingly curated by Amy, owner of Pink Attic Cat.

Here are just a few highlights. This year's theme is Merry and Bright.

The first 25 customers on a Friday received a free gift. We worked on these houses for two evenings. The second night I got home at 2:30 am! These gifts were a labor of love. Inside these Pink Attic shop/building was a container of fudge. We used my Papertreyink dies.

The following photos are highlights of the new Isa Creations Christmas items. This year I have created many items using more truly vintage Christmas elements plus lots of wood slices as a base. I have lots of photos of my new items on a Instagram - IsaCreationsVintage.

I continue to create more items. More details to follow -

A Paris Street Market October 2016

As I sit here waiting to be called (or not called) in the jury pool, decided I could blog. The rest of the week I will either continue the second week of my two week substitute teacher assignment (3rd grade) or spend time as a juror. Either way it will be a very busy week ahead!

Thank you to everyone who came to support me this past Saturday! Another fantastic market day! Great weather and record breaking sales for a non holiday market.

A big thanks to my husband who again, woke up at dawn to help me setup. He and my son Alex came by before Alex's soccer game to bring me lunch and give me a break. They both again returned at the end off the day to help me pack up and load the u-haul van. My husband took care of the entire Halloween house display, among other things - I think he did a great job!

My one of a kind vintage inspired Putz houses (Tim Holtz Sixxiz and Papertrey dies) and new Halloween buntings were extremely well received. Thank you for all your kind words, I so appreciate them:) I also had a small preview of Christmas items available.

My next market is this coming Saturday at the Pink Attic Cat in downtown Littleton. Moonlight Market from 4- 9 pm. See previous post for details. I will have Fall and Halloween items available. Come join us for food, music and a entertaining evening.
